With the previous Nano range bidirectional
LED feedback wasn't possible, now it is and so we've created three
scenes of Ableton Live Control, leaving a further two for your own user
mappings!
MIXER SCENE
Faders for Volumes, Encoders for Pan or
Sends and then the labelled buttons look after Track Select (flashing
buttons indicate which track is selected), Rec Arm, Solo and Mute...
You can Fold and Unfold groups directly from the controller and switch views between device and clip.
Oh and there's an on screen Ring Focus (Red) Box which can navigate around your set, it's also LaunchSync Series compatible so this tiny controller can become a nice add on to say an Ableton Push or Novation LaunchPad...
DEVICE CONTROL
Switch into the second scene and the
Encoders give you macro control over the currently bluehanded device.
We've given the ability to switch between devices on a track with the
Solo Buttons and you can additionally move between banks of 8 parameters
at a time.
Don't like the way that Ableton have
configured the parameters or the banks? Then the NanoKontrol Studio XL
is also compatible with our PrEditor Mapping utility which allows you to
define your own custom automaps for all of Live's native effects and
Instruments as well as VST's, AU's and MaxforLive devices - MORE DETAILS
SESSION CONTROL
The final additional scene gives you control
over the clip grid is Session View with an 8 x 4 clip launching grid
using the controllers buttons.
Trigger Clips and Scenes, Stop, you know the
drill... Oh and we've added Session Overview so you can jump around to
anywhere in your set (each button represents a block of 8 x 4 clips,
it's lit if clips are present and flashes if any clips are playing
within it)
CONFIGURATION OPTIONS
In line with our other XL Control Surface Scripts you
the user can define a set of options to personalise your controller even
further.- Choose between different modes for displaying return tracks
- Set a maximum number of return tracks to display
- Set how many tracks are moved left and right when moving around the set
- Choose whether the master track is displayed, allowing master volume to be controlled
