New York, NY – (November 17th, 2016) – Neat Microphones, a division of Gibson Brands, Inc., announced today that it has
been named a CES 2017 Innovation Awards Honoree
for its Beehive headphone amplifier/digital audio converter
(DAC). Products entered in this prestigious program are judged by a
preeminent panel of independent industrial designers, independent
engineers and members of the trade media to
honor outstanding design and engineering in cutting edge consumer electronics products across 28 product categories.
Neat Microphones’ Beehive will be displayed at CES 2017, which runs January 5-8, 2017, in Las Vegas, Nevada. A selection of Honorees will also be displayed
at CES Unveiled New York, which features dozens of exhibitors and networking opportunities and runs 3:00-7:30 PM November 10
at the Metropolitan Pavilion in New York.
Neat Microphones’
goal is nothing less than creating the next generation of
microphones and audio tools by introducing innovation at all stages of
the production process—research and design, manufacturing, testing, as
well as look and feel. Neat’s new Beehive headphone amplifier/DAC
harnesses the fidelity of modern digital media while
maintaining the analog vacuum-tube warmth and clarity that audio
professionals and enthusiasts adore. The Beehive is designed to provide
even and controlled power to any headphone, without adding distortion or
decreasing bandwidth. The Beehive utilizes an
analog power supply and capacitor-less output to ensure headphones are
powered evenly and without the harmonic distortion often caused by
switching power relays and capacitor-equipped outputs. The Beehive’s
headphone amp also features a tube-driven input stage
that provides smoothness and detail at any volume, while its
solid-state capacitor-less output prevents distortion during musical
peaks. The Beehive also includes a 96kHz/24bit Digital Audio Converter
for those who wish to listen to audiophile quality high-resolution
audio files, or those working with their high-resolution recording
sessions. Operable as both a DAC/headphone amp combo, or as a
stand-alone headphone amplifier, the Beehive is a must-have tool for
audio professionals using headphones as an important tool
in their working setup, as well as for music lovers who want the best
possible listening experience using any headphone.
“We’re
excited with our release of the Beehive, as it offers the power and
punch to deliver what is needed in today’s high-resolution
music and recording environments. To be recognized as an Innovations
Award Honoree validates Neat’s commitment to creating the most
innovative and technologically advanced recording tools in the
industry.”
