Taking place from July 13-16 in the beautiful boreal wilderness of Northern Alberta, the intimate and majestic Astral Harvest Festival will return once again this year for Season 11: Illumination. The nestled gathering has garnered a dedicated following and become a staple of the Canadian electronic music scene with its unique combination of music, art, yoga, movement, and learning experiences.
Other highlights on the music front include UK dance music maestro WBBL, Whistler locals and funk experts SkiiTour, world-champion DJ and Juno Award Winning producer DJ Brace, Australian vocalist Deya Dova, Baltimore bass heavyweight SOOHAN, Calgary resident mixing funk and bass music Defunk, Canadian festival favorites Smalltown DJs, electrifying live duo Moontricks and more.
Beyond the music, Astral Harvest will ensure the visual aspect of the festival is just as memorable with an Arts Lineup that will include performance art, art workshops, and visual art. Guests attending the festival will have the chance to witness painting, hooping, aerial performances, flow arts, face and body painting, burlesque, and much more from an array of talented artists.
To keep guests active throughout the festival, Astral Harvest has curated Yoga and Movement lineups filled with incredible teachers. Those in attendance will have the chance to take part and witness acro and buti yoga, mediation sessions, flow juggling, partner thai massages, permaculture and yoga for kids, puppet creation, poi classes, tea party playshops, self improv-ment and more.
The festival has also crafted a stellar Knowledge Lineup that will give attendees the chance to keep their mind sharp throughout the event. This will include poetry, beatboxing, palm reading, sound mediation, beekeeping, singing and drumming circles, the art of magic, Pot 101 and more.
Although you have always been permitted to enjoy alcoholic beverages in your campground at the festival, Astral Harvest is proud to provide a full service bar at The Manor Stage. The M-Bar will be serving up drinks including local craft breweries and quality spirits for the first time this year.
In other recent news, Astral Harvest has announced that Indigo Harm Reduction Services will be joining the festival this year to provide a safe space in the Haven and the Harm Reduction Outreach Booth. Those interested in volunteering for the Indigo team at Astral Harvest can apply here.
Astral Harvest is also hosting Meet & Greet contests with artists on the lineup for the first time this year. This includes passes to the festival, the chance to hang out with artists on the Astral Harvest lineup, and a swag pack. Winners have been announced for the Sam Binga and SkiiTour contests, and the festival is now running a contest with Moontricks that will include an exclusive serenade session.
Tickets for Astral Harvest are moving quickly and can be purchased on their website. Tickets for the festival are currently priced at $269, which includes camping and parking for the weekend. Other options for tickets include early entry, kids tickets, family packs, and Sunday tickets.
