Native Instruments releases KOMPLETE 11, KOMPLETE 11 ULTIMATE, and KOMPLETE 11 SELECT

Berlin, September 1, 2016 – Native Instruments today released the 11th generation of its industry-leading KOMPLETE production suites, the most comprehensive collection of instruments and effects yet. KOMPLETE 11 now includes 45 products and more than 13,000 sounds, with seven new instruments: FORM, REAKTOR 6, UNA CORDA, DISCOVERY SERIES: INDIA, REPLIKA, SESSION GUITARIST – STRUMMED ACOUSTIC, and KINETIC METAL. KOMPLETE 11 ULTIMATE – the flagship bundle for professional producers, composers, and sound designers – now has 87 products and over 18,000 sounds. It adds 13 new instruments to the previous generation, including the five professional scoring instruments in the SYMPHONY ESSENTIALS line, FLESH, EMOTIVE STRINGS, plus all the new products in KOMPLETE 11.

KOMPLETE 11 and KOMPLETE 11 ULTIMATE now include FORM – a new synthesizer with a refreshing approach to sound creation.  Using a sample as the primary oscillator, FORM offers a powerful new paradigm for sound design that can spark a broad range of fresh ideas. Producers choose the direction and behavior of sample playback, and set playback rates according to sample length, frequency, or BPM. For in-depth manipulation, the amplitude curve is modified using presets or the built-in Curve Editor. The signal is split into two frequency bands, able to be treated independently. Each band features its own controls for digital or analog saturation, dynamics control, and delay, reverb, and modulation effects. This rich feature set, combined with a sleek and easy to use interface, allows producers to transform simple samples into complex synth sounds not found anywhere else.

Native Instruments launches a 50% off special on Soniccouture instruments

Berlin, July 8, 2016 – In partnership with Soniccouture, Native Instruments today launched a special limited-time offer – for 16 days , 20 innovative Soniccouture instruments are available for half price from the NI Online Shop. The offer includes the standout collections Box of Tricks, The Conservatoire Collection, and The Attic, as well as unique instruments like Geosonics, Pan Drums, Ondioline, and many more. All instruments on offer are compatible with Native Kontrol Standard (NKS) – the extended plug-in format that allows deep level integration with Native Instruments’ KOMPLETE KONTROL S-Series and MASCHINE hardware.

“Soniccouture’s relationship with Native Instruments goes back to 2005 when we helped to create the ‘KONTAKT Experience’ product for NI,” says James Thompson, Co-Founder of Soniccouture. “The direct result of this was that Dan and I decided to start releasing KONTAKT libraries because of the exciting possibilities offered by the new KSP programming language. Eleven years later, the evolution of that process sees our 20 virtual instruments fully integrated into NI’s NKS protocol, offering the musician not just sonic sophistication but also simplicity. We are thrilled to have come so far on this journey together, and excited by the possibilities the future holds.”

Native Kontrol Standard® (NKS) is NI’s extended plug-in format that allows third-party instrument developers to directly address hardware features in KOMPLETE KONTROL S-Series and in MASCHINE. NKS instruments organically appear in the Native Browser with all presets readily tagged, offer sensible parameter assignments via Native Map, and make use of the Light Guide to display key switches and sample assignments. NKS also brings Smart Play features to third-party instruments, allowing detailed access to the S-Series’ touch strips, scale mapping, Chord Sets, and the powerful arpeggiator. The list of partners supporting NKS with free updates for their instruments is constantly expanding.

This special offer on 20 Soniccouture instruments is available from July 7 until July 24, 2016, at the NI Online Shop exclusively:

IK Multimedia releases Orchestral Percussion for Miroslav Philharmonik 2 and SampleTank 3

Now modern classical arrangers, film composers and pop musicians can incorporate the sounds of the most realistic master percussion tools available into their music and compositions

June 21, 2016 -
IK Multimedia is pleased to announce the release of Orchestral Percussion, the master percussion add-on instrument collection for Miroslav Philharmonik 2 and SampleTank 3 that contains over 45 symphonic percussion instruments, 3GB of sample content, more than 400 audio loops and over 100 MIDI files.

Orchestral Percussion takes traditional percussion instruments to a whole new level of realism, playability and audio quality. Users will get the majesty of full-range, dynamic timpani, the stirring power of a massive 36" gran cassa orchestral bass drum, the unmistakable punctuation of symphonic chau gongs and piatti cymbals. Also included are the ultra-stylized articulations of three different classical snare drums along with flexible variations of sleighbells, tambourines, triangles, castanets, bell tree and more, performed with multiple round robins and recorded with pristine audio fidelity.

Orchestral Percussion is the sequel to IK's much-acclaimed Cinematic Percussion Instrument Collection that is now being used on film, TV and pop productions the world over. Specific instruments were chosen for Orchestral Percussion to perfectly complement the Cinematic Percussion set with no redundancy or overlap. Like Cinematic Percussion, IK again enlisted master percussionist Greg Ellis, known for his work on countless Hollywood blockbuster films, to perform the more traditional classical instruments of the Orchestral Percussion Instrument Collection. Musicians should use the two collections together for an unrivaled treasure chest of percussion resources.
