Grammy-Nominated Act Caribou Added To Further Future 002 Lineup

After the unexpected December additions of Lee Burridge, Leftfield, and the Robot Heart crew to the FF002 lineup, Further Future surprises audiophiles yet again by adding recently Grammy-Nominated Canadian artist Caribou. Taking place from April 29 - May 1st, 2016 at the Moapa River Reservation outside Las Vegas, the second year festival disregards all sonic bounds with its profound curation of genre-defying musicians from all over the globe.

Named “Best Music Festival” by Las Vegas Weekly with its debut, Further Future focuses on more than just music with its curatorial efforts put toward technology, speakers, wellness, art, and gastronomy -- all designed into the community that holds it together.

Further Future adds Caribou to an already hefty lineup including Four Tet, Nicolas Jaar, Easy Star All-Stars, Dixon, Kid Koala, DJ Tennis, Crazy P, Derrick Carter, &ME, Oneohtrix Point Never, The Pharcyde, Daedelus, Andy Stott, Still Corners, Terry Francis, Low Leaf and many more confirmed to perform at the breathtaking location.

For Caribou, Further Future will be the perfect place to display his highly-revered album Our Love, released in 2014 and already crowned Electronic Album of the Year at Canada’s Juno Awards and nominated for Best Dance/Electronic Album at the upcoming Grammys, taking place February 2016. Our Love has quickly become one of electronic music’s most celebrated albums of the past few years, renowned for its poignant vocals and alluring instrumentations.

Press play on the LP, and you will quickly recognize the minimal mastery of Caribou’s veteran composer Dan Snaith, also known for his more club-oriented project Daphni. If the nominations and awards weren’t enough, the album also received the coveted praise of “Best New Music” on Pitchfork, was ranked #5 on yearly top album lists from Consequence of Sound and The Guardian, and landed #2 on Huffington Post’s “Best Electronic Albums of 2014” list.

At Further Future 002, Snaith will be backed by his live band for an enthralling performance that includes guitar, drums, vocals, synths, and more. Get a taste of Caribou with the hit track “Can’t Do Without You,” and witness the group’s extraordinary live show at Pitchfork Music Festival from 2014.

The next major announcements will include vision speakers, wellness workshops, and a gourmet food lineup, rounding out the heart and soul of the Further Future aesthetic. On-site accommodations for boutique and self-camping at the festival are now available, and early reservations are highly recommended.
