Both RX 4 Advanced and Iris 2 honored for outstanding technical achievement
Cambridge, MA (January 28, 2015) - iZotope's
RX 4 Advanced and Iris 2 have won awards for Outstanding Technical
Achievement at the 31st Annual NAMM Technical Excellence &
Creativity Awards, the highest honor within the pro audio and sound
recording industry, which recognizes the most outstanding products in
the world of music making, live performance, video games, television and
film. The award ceremony was held on Saturday, January 23 during the
NAMM Show in Anaheim, CA.
"As we celebrate iZotope's 15th
birthday this year, all of us at iZotope are humbled to receive these
two awards," says Mark Ethier, iZotope's CEO and co-founder. "We thank
our amazing community members who have helped shape our products over
the years, as well as our industry peers and the TEC Award voters for
their support."
Following a TEC Award win for RX 3 in 2014, the fourth
generation of RX is again a winner in the category "Signal Processing
Software" for 2015. RX transforms flawed audio by removing noises,
distortions, reverb, and other common audio problems, and is used by
musicians, audio engineers, and post production professionals alike.
Since the TEC Award nomination period, iZotope has released RX 5 Audio
Editor, continuing to build on the award-winning standards set by the
previous generations. Complete information on RX can be found at www.izotope.com/rx.
Iris 2, an inspiring sample-based synthesizer, won this year
in the "Musical Instrument Software" category for 2015. Iris 2 combines
the power of a sampler, the flexibility of a modular synth, and unique
spectral filtering. It includes hundreds of expertly crafted Bass, Keys,
Leads, Pads, and Rhythmic patches from world-class designers, plus an
11GB factory library of intriguing audio samples, a modern modulation
system, classic filters, evocative effects, and more. Iris 2 allows
music producers and sound designers to explore a new world of creative
possibilities. Please visit www.izotope.com/iris for additional information.
iZotope is proud to be one of four companies who received
double honors, along with AVID, Shure, and Solid State Logic. The
company now has the distinction of winning five TEC awards over the
years, including a win in 2009 for Ozone, their complete mastering
system, and in 2013 for Insight, their essential metering suite.
